In   1984  - BJP  contested it's first general election in 1984   and Won only TWO  seats in Lok Sabha. In   1989  - BJP played role of opposition party and Won  only 85   seats in Lok Sabha out of 545 . In 1991  -   BJP Won only 120   seats in Lok Sabha out of 545. In 1996  - BJP becomes the largest party in Lok Sabha for the first time with 161 seats out of 545.   And we got A Prime minister from BJP   as Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji  But He was only for 13  days as PM of India . In 1998  - We again got Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji   as Prime minister of India but at this time he ruled only for 13 Months. In 1999 - BJP Won  120   Lok Sabha seats and we again got Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji  as Prime Minister of India this time he ruled full of  5 years. In 2014 - BJP Won 282 seats out of  545. and Won the election and  Shree Narendra Damodar Das Modi  Ji   elected as Prime Minister of India. In 2019 - BJP Won  303 seats Separately . NDA Won 353  seats. A

BJP is a political party. Stands as Bhartiya Janta Party. Founded in 1980 by reviving the erstwhile Bhartiya Jana Sangh. Formed by Syama Prasad Mukherjee  in 1951. It's Symbol is - Aims of Bhartiya Janta Party. 1- Wants to build a Strong and modern India by drawing inspiration from India's ancient culture and Values. 2- Works under PANDIT Deendayal Upadhyaya's ideas of integral humanism and Antodaya. 3- Cultural nationalism ( or HINDUTVA ) is important element in its conception of Indian nationalhood and politics. 4- Wants full territorial and political integration of Jammu and Kashmir wih India. 5- A Uniform Civil Code for all people living in the country irrespective of religion, and ban on religious conversion.
